Cookies are small files stored on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage and content embedded from other companies, work in comparable ways. This page explains what kojador.com uses, why, and how you decide. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The site is operated by Koja d'Or SA (UID CHE-132.707.280), Chemin de Pierra-Barna 20, 1934 Le Châble, Switzerland. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, for guests in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
How we ask
The first time you arrive, the site asks you how you would like to enter. You may enter with cookies, which allows the films, virtual tours, and maps that make up the full experience, or enter without them, in which case only what is strictly necessary is used. Both choices are one click, and both give you the whole site. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary is loaded until you choose.
Your choice is remembered for twelve months, after which we ask again. You can change it at any time through Cookie settings in the footer of every page, including withdrawing a consent you have already given.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. They are limited to the cookie that remembers your cookie choice, which lasts twelve months, the session token that grants entry to a private property page when you enter an access code, and the technical cookies our hosting uses to serve and secure the site.
They carry no marketing information, follow you nowhere, and are not shared with anyone.
Films, maps, and tours
Parts of the site are hosted by other companies: films by Vimeo, property location maps by Mapbox, brochures and floorplans embedded from Google, and virtual tours by Matterport. When this content loads, those companies receive technical data such as your IP address and may set their own cookies, which is why we ask first.
If you enter without cookies, none of it is requested. Films are replaced by still photography, and maps and tours by a short note offering to load them. The site remains complete and navigable, and you can change your mind on any page.
Analytics
If you allow them, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which properties are viewed and how visitors arrive, so that we can improve it. This is read in aggregate and is not used to identify you. If you decline, no analytics run at all, and we apply Google's Consent Mode so that nothing is measured without your permission.
What we do not do
We use no advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites, we do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or rent data to anyone. There is nothing on this site whose purpose is to follow you once you have left it.
Managing your preferences
Cookie settings in the footer reopens your choices on any page, where you can allow or withdraw each category. Withdrawing takes effect immediately: embedded content stops loading and any analytics stop.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time, though blocking the strictly necessary ones may prevent parts of the site from working, including access to private property pages.
